The Animal Advisory Commission has created a working group called Finder to Foster to address the issue of holding animals physically at the shelter for three days before they can be placed in foster care.

City staff confirmed the current rule is that animals must be held physically at the shelter during the stray hold period, but there is potential to modify the ordinance to allow for a Finder to Foster program. [ more ]
