1 Marine killed, 14 taken to hospitals after amphibious combat vehicle rolls over during training

A U.S. Marine was killed and 14 others injured in a rollover accident during a training at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.

The incident is under investigation and the severity of injuries sustained by the other 14 Marines is unknown at this time.

The amphibious combat vehicle involved in the accident is a newer model that was introduced to replace older vehicles after a training accident in 2020 killed eight Marines and one sailor. [ more ]
