The project explores the integration of multiple programs within a shared spatial system, proposing a development in which residential, commercial, hospitality, and public functions coexist in close proximity. Instead of organizing these uses as separate buildings with independent infrastructures, the proposal concentrates them within a connected structure that allows circulation, services, and public areas to operate collectively.
For ABERTO5, the itinerant exhibition series is set to open next month at Casa Bola, Eduardo Longo's spherical residence in São Paulo, opening the architect's private home to the public as the setting for its fifth edition. From March 7th to May 31st, 2026, ABERTO returns to Brazil after its Paris chapter at Le Corbusier's Maison La Roche (read more here) and shifts its attention to one of the city's most unique dwellings.
Portland officials released a Market Feasibility Study on Friday, Jan. 23, that declared the region cannot support two venues capable of hosting popular touring Broadway shows. That upends the proposal approved by the City Council in late 2024 calling for a new Broadway-capable performing arts center to be built at Portland State University before the Keller Auditorium is closed and remodeled to continue hosting such large show.

Renovations would include adding restrooms, expanding the lobby, upgrading accessibility and revitalizing its technical capabilities. The proposed project would also create a new professional-size theater for TheatreWorks to present its mainstage productions, as well as space for the company's arts education, community engagement and new works programs.
