Later this week, the Trump administration may impose travel restrictions on citizens from dozens of countries, supposedly because of security concerns. One of the countries on the 'red' list is Afghanistan. Sixty thousand exhaustively vetted Afghan visa applicants and refugees, who risked their lives alongside the Americans in their country as interpreters and drivers, will have the golden doors to the United States shut in their face.

The withdrawal from Afghanistan has left over 1,600 Afghan allies stranded, their entry to the U.S. canceled—contradicting the promise made to them during service.
