McTominay has scored four goals in his last five Champions League appearances. The last Scotsman to score five goals in a single European Cup season was Mo Johnston in 1990-91 for Rangers, and last for a non-Scottish club was John Wark for Liverpool in 1984-85. And Zola, a former Chelsea star, feels the ex-Manchester United midfielder, who has been involved in a team-leading 31 open-play shot-ending sequences in Europe this season, can be decisive against the Blues.
Inter missed the chance to move five points clear at the Serie A summit, after they were pegged back twice by Scott McTominay in their entertaining 2-2 draw with Napoli. After second-placed AC Milan could only draw 1-1 with Fiorentina earlier on Sunday, Cristian Chivu's side could not capitalise later at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. The Nerazzurri made an ideal start, taking the lead after just nine minutes. After McTominay was robbed of possession, Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram combined to tee up the overlapping Federico Dimarco, who slid a low shot past Vanja Milinkovic-Savic from a tight angle.

Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour of Italian champions Napoli would open the season at Josh Doig's newly promoted Sassuolo. Doig, who would make his international debut later that week, beamed at the thought of facing Gilmour - someone he grew up playing youth football against - as well as McTominay, a man who returns not just as the league's player of the season, but a Ballon d'Or nominee and Neapolitan hero.
