SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Crowds marched from the ICE building in downtown San Francisco in response to the shooting death a 37-year-old woman killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis. The protesters were seen marching along Sansome Street just after 6 p.m. holding anti-ICE signs and yelling, "no ICE" and "say her name." Protesters were later told to disperse just before 7 p.m.

Fisher marked the first time Moscone Center hosted something enormous like this; I went on the second night of a two-night takeover, December 20. Operationally, it ran surprisingly smoothly for a first-time venue. Crowd-wise: a lot of phones, a lot of jerseys, a lot of people filming drops they will absolutely never watch again. It felt like a first "rave" moment for a lot of folks since it was an 18+ event.
You might think that if you're lactose intolerant or otherwise milk-averse that this dessert might be out of reach, but San Francisco's oldest ice cream parlor offers a vegan variety that will surely satisfy. St. Francis Fountain has been a staple of San Francisco since 1918, serving up diner foods with plenty of options to suit a number of different diets.
The Warfield opened on May 13, 1922, as Loew's Warfield - a " grand dame of a theatre" dedicated to film and vaudeville with a capacity of over 2,650 and a 33-foot-deep stage. The venue was the 300th theater commissioned by Marcus Loew and the 26th opened by his company within 18 months. The Warfield was built by local architect Gustave Albert Lansburgh; the early '20s were a boom time for Lansburgh, who simultaneously designed the neighboring Golden Gate Theatre (which also opened in 1922).

Residents learn the tricks, like particular windows of time after a street-cleaning session when it's open season on entire blocks.
