A 17-year-old high school student wins the San Diego chapter of the American Institute of Architects' high school design competition with a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired home design.
The winning design features horizontal lines, flat roofs, an open interior plan, and an Oriental sensibility.
The competition asked students to design a 2,800 to 3,200 square foot residence for a Mission Beach lot.
