Protected Virtual Machines Exposed to New 'CacheWarp' AMD CPU Attack
Researchers have disclosed a new attack method called CacheWarp that affects AMD processors and poses a risk to protected virtual machines.
CacheWarp allows malicious hackers to hijack control flow, break into an encrypted VM, and escalate privileges.
AMD SEV-SNP, a security feature designed to protect sensitive data in cloud environments, is vulnerable to the CacheWarp attack. [ more ]
