2 weeks agovivo V70 in for review
vivo V70 combines compact 6.59-inch design, premium matte finish, triple 50MP Zeiss-backed cameras, 6,500mAh battery, and 90W charging in Alpine Grey.
The mid-range smartphone segment is crowded in ways that make individual products hard to distinguish. Specs converge, designs flatten, and most phones feel interchangeable within days. vivo's V70 enters that space with a clear point of view: a ZEISS-co-engineered telephoto camera tuned for stage photography and travel, a large battery built for long days, and a physical design that genuinely tries to look and feel like something worth keeping.
Vivo's V60 series has its newest member with the V60 Lite. Curiously, this is not the first time we're seeing this phone as it originally launched in September of last year. The new version (V2549), which is listed in Panama, comes with one key change - it's the first device to launch with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 chip, replacing the Snapdragon 685.
The "Power" in the name refers to the 6,500mAh battery with 33W charging. According to the official numbers, the phone should last up to 3 days on a single charge. If you push it, you should get over 12 hours of gaming or up to 21 hours of watching videos on a single charge. The battery is rated for 1,000 charge cycles (retaining at least 80% of its original capacity), which should be enough for 5 years of use.
Oppo's upcoming K-series smartphone for India now has an official launch date. The company has also revealed key specifications of the Oppo K14x 5G. The handset will debut in India on February 10 and will be available for purchase via Flipkart. It is confirmed to pack a 6,500mAh battery that will offer 45W fast charging support. The Oppo K14x 5G will also sport a 120Hz refresh rate LCD display with 1,125 nits of brightness.
But first, it's always worth pointing out which China-specific Redmi a new Poco actually is. It's not difficult to pinpoint the model - a standout feature on the back quickly reveals that to be the Redmi K90 Pro Max. Xiaomi has worked with US speaker specialists from Bose to come up with a 2.1 speaker system for the Redmi, and that same system now makes it to the Poco F8 Ultra.
It comes with a 200MP Samsung HP9 rear camera, a first in the V-series lineup. The vivo V60e's biggest highlight is the 200MP primary rear camera with OIS and an f/1.8 aperture. It is paired with an 8MP ultrawide unit with a 120 degree FOV. The phone gets a 50MP camera on the front for selfies and videos. It also features the Aura light LED flash at the back.
Its focus is on the camera, particularly the 50MP telephoto module with a Sony IMX882 (1/1.95") sensor and a 3x/73mm ZEISS lens with OIS. It has special modes like Telephoto Stage Portrait and Telephoto Landscape Portrait. Additionally, the phone has a 50MP main camera (1/1.56", OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide. For selfies at arm's length, there is a 50MP front-facing camera with a wide 21mm ZEISS lens. Both front and back cameras are capable of 4K @ 30fps video recording.
