We are heartbroken to share that Misua, a talented Queen set to appear on season four of Drag Race Philippines passed away in her sleep the morning of April 2. She brought light, artistry, and joy to those around her, and she will be deeply missed.

It can be tough being gay in a straight man's world. When it comes to figuring out our identities, we often have to negotiate our desires with the preconceived expectations around us. This was especially the case for folks who grew up when there was scant representation. Certain attractions may have bubbled, but they remained nameless. Still, that doesn't mean they went unheeded. Gay people have found themselves for centuries.

Those elected officials indeed brought a Rainbow Flag attached to a thin flagpole and placed it next to the flagpole where the original Rainbow Flag was located, but the new flag did not get attached to the actual flagpole at the Stonewall National Monument - and it was only flying at about half-staff.
