Submit ransomware intel, earn up to $10k from new program
Briefly

Halcyon launched the Threat Research Incentive Program (TRIP), offering $10,000 rewards for researchers who provide ransomware intelligence. With an initial commitment of $250,000, the program aims to improve Halcyon's anti-ransomware technology and eradicate ransomware threats. However, not all submissions will be publicly shared to protect victims and prevent alerting attackers. Halcyon emphasizes the importance of rewarding research while also ensuring sensitive information is handled responsibly to aid in early detection and mitigation of potential threats.
We want to eradicate ransomware," Steve Salinas, a senior director of product marketing at Halcyon, told The Register. "It is the most damaging type of attack.
After vetting, we may share select intel we believe to be critical to protect against an emerging threat," Salinas said.
We want to reward folks that are doing that research, and then help to incorporate it into the technology and services that we're delivering.
Some intel could possibly identify the victim, which could not be shared, and some intel could tip off the threat actors.
