The Construction Industry Training Board's (CITB) scenarios estimate 61,000 new workers each year would be needed to meet the government's target of 1.5 million new homes by 2030.
Currently, it is really difficult to coordinate training in the industry, because there are lots of different systems at play, with many subcontractors and training colleges.
Plumbing apprentice Will Cunningham faced challenges in finding a job, stating he applied for at least 20 companies before securing a position.
