A significant expansion to Marina Bay Sands has begun, featuring a 570-key luxury hotel and a 15,000-seat arena. The hotel will be a 55-story tower rotated at a 45-degree angle to the existing buildings, with garden terraces and a façade designed to mitigate solar gain. A unique rooftop venue named Skyloop will offer various recreational spaces. The project is set to stimulate tourism and further solidify Singapore's status as a global destination. Additional amenities will enhance retail, dining, and event capacities, enriching the Marina Bay experience.
The new expansion introduces a 570-key luxury hotel and a 15,000-seat arena, marking what is expected to be the final chapter in the iconic complex's evolution.
Rotated at a 45-degree angle to existing towers, the new structure features triple-height garden terraces and a façade system designed to minimize solar gain.
Topping the new tower will be Skyloop, a 76,000-square-foot rooftop experience characterized by overlapping elliptical columns that spiral in opposing directions.
The new venue aims to host major international performances and includes an additional 200,000 square feet for MICE events, expanding cultural and commercial capacities.
