"I put one hook on each side of the hood on the flat ledge (although you could put it anywhere depending on the style of your hood). I've done this for the past two years and it has worked perfectly! You can't really see or notice the hook at least on mine since they are white and because it gets covered by the garland (you can fluff the branches up and around it if it shows a little bit)"
"Oftentimes garland will have loops on one or both sides, so what I do is tie a piece of twine or heavy duty string around that so I can then tie the string onto the hook. The important thing is to make sure it won't fall down so you want to do two things: Follow the manufacturers instructions on attaching the hooks. The area has to be clean and not have any oil residue on it."
Adhesive-backed hooks work well for securing garland to a stove hood by placing one hook on each side of a hood ledge or other sturdy spot. Tie twine or heavy-duty string around garland loops and fasten to the hooks, or loop the garland directly over anchors. Clean surfaces thoroughly to remove oil and follow hook manufacturer instructions before applying adhesive. For mantels, place multiple hooks toward the back to distribute weight or use angled nails for extra sturdiness. Use lightweight garland and tighten ties to prevent slipping or falling.
