Land owned by the Duchy of Cornwall in Vauxhall will be developed into 16 affordable rental homes for young individuals aged 18 to 25 who have faced homelessness. The Lambeth Council approved the renovation plan, part of the Homewards programme aimed at preventing homelessness. Rent will be one-third of the tenant's gross earnings, with a focus on employment for the majority of residents. The scheme aims to help young people gain independence and stability, while additional plans include building 23 flats in a former health center site, with two designated for affordable housing.
