HGTV Cancels Another Show-as Furious Hosts Begin To Turn Against Beleaguered Network
Briefly

'Battle on the Beach' has been canceled by HGTV after four seasons, as announced by host Alison Victoria. The series featured competitive renovations by three teams on identical beachfront properties. Despite averaging around 800,000 viewers in its last episodes, the show was not renewed. Victoria attributed the cancellation partially to poor editing, which omitted many entertaining moments captured during filming. She expressed sadness at the decision and noted the fun atmosphere of the show, while also maintaining silence on her other ongoing HGTV projects.
According to host Alison Victoria, her hit series "Battle on the Beach" has been axed by the network after four seasons, a decision that she described as a "sad" development.
Victoria seemingly blamed the cancellation, at least in part, on HGTV's editing, noting that many of the funny moments that had been caught on camera during filming never made it past the cutting room floor.
The series, which premiered in July 2021, saw three teams going head-to-head in a renovation competition, attempting to transform identical beachfront properties in a bid to have their real estate overhaul declared the best by judges.
Victoria said, "It was so fun and funny... and then all of a sudden, I watched the episode, I'm like, well, where'd all that [great content] go?"
