Florals + Greenery for Our Coastal Cottage Christmas Mantel - The Inspired Room
"Today I wanted to share about our Christmas mantel! This year I thought it would be fun to try something a little different with floral and evergreen elements I already had. I layered a couple types of florals alongside evergreen garland, scattered pinecones, and the soft glow of (faux) candles. It was so simple to make but I think it makes such a pretty winter statement!"
"I first set one juniper garland across the mantel surface, letting a few of the evergreens hang down. Next I tucked in the hydrangea stems (the same ones I had in a vase all fall) and some new blue flowers here and there around the garland so it would add pops of the greens and blues and the garland would hide the floral stems."
"Blue Silk Mums Faux Dusty Green Hydrangea Stems Juniper Garland (similar, mine is from years ago) or here is another similar garland option, or these juniper stems Magnolia Branches from Etsy // or these similar ones on Amazon I filled in a spot or two with these pine branches Flameless Votive Candles with Timer Pinecones from outside but here are a couple online sources: Large Pinecones or Medium Pinecones"
The mantel uses layered juniper garland with hydrangea stems and blue silk mums, loose pinecones, and flameless votive candles on a timer for a soft evening glow. Textures combine fresh greens, delicate blooms, natural pinecones, and twinkling candlelight to create a festive yet unfussy winter display. The arrangement rests loosely on the mantel with no attachments and has remained in place for weeks. Assembly steps include setting one juniper garland across the mantel, tucking hydrangea and blue flower stems into the garland to conceal stems, scattering medium and large pinecones, then finishing with timed flameless votive candles.
