Encinal's project adds a turf field, regulation track, new lights, bleachers, a press box, and field-event facilities; finishing touches will prevent use for the Nov. 7 Island Bowl. Alameda High's new swim center will open next summer with competition and practice pools, lighting, scoreboard, fencing, and mechanical upgrades. Wood Middle School's new campus buildings are expected for the 2026-27 school year, with Otis Elementary temporarily housed at the former Lum Elementary site.
