A Standard-Issue White Kitchen Gets a $150 Facelift (It Looks So Vintage!)
Briefly

Morgan Ford transformed her kitchen in her Colorado rental to be warm, playful, and moody to inspire creativity, influenced by her time in Germany's gray skies. Despite the space being decent, she desired to add warmth and personality. She began with an easy DIY project—a peel-and-stick backsplash made from thrifted materials and gifted tiles, costing her little. This ongoing kitchen makeover reflects her commitment to creating an inviting cooking environment while working within the limitations of a rental home.
Morgan's experience in Germany inspired her kitchen design—she sought to create a warm, playful, and moody space to cultivate creativity and good vibes.
The kitchen wasn't bad, but it also wasn't very inspiring. I looked at it as a great base to build off of.
I chose two types of tiles, and actually cut them into fours by hand and assembled this pattern. That process took about an hour to an hour and a half to complete.
The tiles were gifted to her, and all of the decor - besides the knife block - was thrifted.
