""kind of over""
""This allows us to have designated spaces while still keeping things feeling open and spacious," Amanda says."
An enlarged arched opening connects the kitchen and living room, forming a single long entryway hallway that improves flow. Rather than adopting a fully open floor plan, the homeowners widened and arched the passageway to balance openness and defined rooms. The extended opening terminates with a console table and features stylish laundry room closet doors along the hall, creating functional focal points. Multiple arches throughout the house create visual cohesion and reinforce the transitional language between spaces. The design preserves designated spaces while maintaining a sense of airiness and spaciousness. This middle-ground approach preserves privacy and organization while still allowing sightlines and movement between main living areas.
