Casa Luna / iHouse estudio
"Casa Flor was commissioned by a friend of the studio, Nacho Mazzini, proud owner of the "yellow house with a round window" built in 2021. Fascinated by the use of that home and attentive to the evolution of his family dynamics, he wished to add a new module on the adjoining plot next to his first iHouse, located in Punta Ballena near the Arboretum."
"The intention was to create an intimate and reflective paviliona space for contemplationwhile avoiding the challenges of building a traditional house directly beside his current home."
Casa Flor originated as a commissioned pavilion for Nacho Mazzini, owner of the yellow house with a round window completed in 2021. The project inserted a new module on the adjoining plot next to the original iHouse in Punta Ballena, close to the Arboretum. The new building prioritizes intimacy and reflection, functioning as a contemplative pavilion rather than a conventional residential addition. The design decision avoided the complications of placing a full traditional house directly beside the existing home and responded to evolving family dynamics and patterns of use.
