Fudan University's School of Philosophy will host a conference titled "Timothy Williamson Encountering Chinese Philosophy" on November 6–7, 2026. The conference is the fourth event in the "Fudan Studies of Encountering Chinese Philosophy" series, following events focused on Michael Slote, Ernest Sosa, and Simon Blackburn. A dozen or so scholars of Chinese philosophy will critically engage various aspects of Williamson's philosophy by drawing on Chinese philosophical resources, and Williamson will respond. Revised critical comments and responses will be collected into an edited volume bearing the conference title. Expressions of interest and abstracts are requested by March 15; results will be announced by the end of March. Airfare, room, and board will be provided for participants.
