The US president congratulated the United Kingdom for committing to spend 5% of GDP on defence at the NATO summit and emphasized close cooperation. He claimed the United States has solved seven previously unsolvable wars but expressed disappointment over one conflict he expected to resolve easily because of his relationship with President Putin. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the US president agreed on the need for an Israeli-Palestinian peace roadmap while differing on recognition of a Palestinian state. The US president stated he is working hard on Israel and Gaza, predicted progress on Russia and Ukraine, and urged tougher measures to address migration.
