""We agreed that our teams would meet as early as next week to finalize all discussed matters. We also agreed with President Trump that he will host Ukrainian and European leaders in Washington, DC, in January," Zelenskyy added."
""We're getting a lot closer, maybe very close...[talks are] \"moving in the right direction.\""
""Russia wants [the war] ended. Everyone wants it ended," he told reporters without giving details."
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy concluded talks with US President Donald Trump without reaching a peace deal while teams agreed to meet again soon to finalize matters. Discussions covered a peace framework, the sequence of further actions, and security guarantees as key to lasting peace. A leaders' gathering of Ukrainian and European officials will be hosted in Washington, DC, in January. The meeting capped weeks of diplomacy aimed at ending Russia's full-scale war in Ukraine, a conflict that has killed or wounded more than 1.5 million soldiers on both sides in nearly four years. Trump said talks were moving in the right direction.
