The attack on Mukhmas and other Palestinian towns and villages constitutes a dangerous escalation in systematic terrorism and reflects a complete partnership between the settlers and the occupation forces, Mu'ayyad Sha'ban, head of the Palestinian Authority's Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, told Wafa."

During the attack settlers stole dozens of sheep from local Palestinian residents. Palestinian officials characterize the incident as part of a rising wave of settler violence and allege a partnership between settlers and occupation forces. Authorities report 37 Palestinians have been killed by settlers in the West Bank since October 2023 and call for international protection for Palestinian communities. Repeated attacks have targeted Mukhmas and the nearby Bedouin community of Khallat al-Sidra.
