Emma Raducanu arrived in Melbourne on Saturday after reaching the quarter-finals in Hobart and after a delayed flight. Less than 48 hours later she is scheduled to play Thailand's Mananchaya Sawangkaew as the second match on Margaret Court Arena's evening session. The men's five-set match ahead begins at 7pm local time, creating a risk of a near-midnight start. Raducanu did not train on Friday because of the delayed flight and adjusted her preparation by moving practice to 9pm on Saturday to simulate late-night conditions. She is seeded at a major for the first time in over three years.
