""We don't know what the future will bring. We don't really know if the future will be better or not, based on what happened recently," Paulin said. The event is about "giving that space for people to express, let the feelings flow, because it's conflicting right now. Some people are happy, some people are not happy, people are stressed, some are feeling many different things.""
Dulce Tricolor Venezolano is a Bay Area Venezuelan dance group founded in 2019 that now functions as a nonprofit with about two dozen members. The group teaches children traditional folk dances while preserving Venezuelan culture, building community and offering a sense of home amid Venezuela's ongoing political and economic crisis. Performances take place across the Bay Area, including an annual December Christmas showcase and an upcoming March 1 event at Fuego Sports Bar in Sunnyvale that will feature live music, dance, food and a community forum. The group blends tradition and celebration while providing a space for Venezuelans to express mixed emotions about an uncertain future.
