US reportedly considers granting asylum to Jewish people from UK

Robert Garson, Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, has held conversations with the US State Department about providing refuge to British Jews citing rising antisemitism, an Islamist attack on a Manchester synagogue, and widespread antisemitic incidents after the 7 October 2023 Hamas attack. The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Garson said the UK is no longer safe for Jews, blamed Prime Minister Keir Starmer for allowing antisemitism to grow, and emphasized the British Jewish community’s education and English fluency.
