A US envoy for Africa urged Sudan's rival commanders to accept an international humanitarian ceasefire proposal without preconditions as diplomacy intensifies. The proposal was presented on behalf of the US, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, but neither side has approved the text.
