U.S.-mediated talks in the UAE began Friday and continued Saturday, with joint meetings of Russian and Ukrainian negotiators and direct Russia-Ukraine engagement without Americans present. The U.S. delegation included Trump advisers and senior military officials; the Ukrainian team included Zelensky's chief of staff, national security adviser and military leaders. The Russian team was led by Admiral Igor Kostyukov. A UAE spokesperson said the discussions were constructive and addressed elements of a U.S.-proposed peace framework and confidence-building measures.
