"Images broadcast on state television showed Putin greeting the two US businessmen turned diplomats. "So pleased to see you," Putin told Witkoff and Kushner, sitting alongside translators. The US duo had earlier been pictured landing in the Russian capital and being shown part of the city by Kirill Dmitriev, the chairman of the Russia Direct Investment Fund sovereign wealth fund sanctioned by the US government in 2022."
