Donald Trump embarked on a five-day Asia tour that includes Malaysia, Japan and South Korea. He arrived in Malaysia after a brief stopover in Qatar to take part in the ASEAN summit. Trump helped broker and oversaw signing of an expanded ceasefire between Thailand and Cambodia in the presence of Thai PM Anutin Charnvirakul, Cambodian PM Hun Manet and Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim. The expanded ceasefire builds on a truce reached three months earlier after Trump warned leaders to stop fighting or risk pausing US trade talks. Trump is scheduled to meet Chinese leader Xi Jinping on October 30 amid strained trade relations.
