"there are people."
"Sometimes you have to have fear. That's the only thing that really will get the situation taken care of."
President Donald Trump said regime change in Iran would be "the best thing that could happen" during remarks at a US military base in North Carolina on February 13. He confirmed a second aircraft carrier would soon join a "massive" US armada in the Arabian Sea amid heightened tensions. Trump said "for 47 years, they've been talking" and claimed lives were lost while Tehran delayed. He declined to name a successor, saying "there are people." He described Iran as difficult in nuclear talks, urged more pressure and fear, and threatened military strikes if detained protesters are executed. Iran's theocratic regime has ruled since the 1979 revolution and lacks US diplomatic relations since 1980.
