A two-day trilateral meeting among Ukraine, Russia and the United States took place in Abu Dhabi on January 23-24 and is slated to resume next week. The United States coordinated the meeting hosted by the United Arab Emirates and described the talks as constructive, with plans to continue conversations. Military personnel participating in the negotiations assembled a list of topics for a possible follow-up meeting. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was briefed and traveled to Lithuania to seek military, humanitarian and diplomatic support. Kremlin aides reported President Vladimir Putin was satisfied after talks with U.S. envoys, while Moscow reiterated demands regarding Donbas control.
