Intensified Israeli attacks forced Palestinians to flee northern Gaza toward central areas, while leading genocide scholars' association backed a resolution stating that Israeli actions meet the legal definition of the crime. Families mourned recovered hostages, Israeli reservists prepared to return, and a UN-oriented Gaza reconstruction plan including a technocratic interim government, international stabilisation force, and Hamas disarmament was discussed with the US to prevent a UN general assembly row.
