Eyewitnesses and video evidence later identified numerous victims, including at least thirty under eighteen and an eight-year-old girl shot in the chest. Protesters entered the streets with hope that foreign powers might intervene, but those hopes were replaced by mass death. President Trump publicly threatened Iran, claiming "a massive Armada is heading to Iran" and warning of far worse attacks. Authorities then obstructed families from reclaiming bodies without coerced paperwork.
