South Korea has banned citizens from visiting parts of Cambodia amid concerns about a growing scam industry. Sixty-four South Korean nationals were flown back on a chartered flight and taken into custody as criminal suspects. Detained people included both voluntary and involuntary participants in scam operations. Cambodian and South Korean officials said the repatriation reflected cooperation in suppression of scams.
