Snow to hit UK as Met Office issues yellow weather warning
"From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging."
"The UK is expecting to see snow once again after the Met Office put a yellow weather warning in place and health chiefs issued a cold health alert. The alert from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is in place from 6am on Friday until 8am on Monday, covering the South West, the Midlands, the North East, the North West and Yorkshire and the Humber."
The Independent requests donations to keep reporters on the ground covering issues from reproductive rights to climate change and Big Tech, and to provide free, paywall-free journalism funded by supporters. A yellow weather warning from the Met Office and a cold-health alert from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) are in effect, covering much of England and regions including the South West, Midlands, North East, North West, and Yorkshire and the Humber. Up to 15cm of snow is expected in Wales and the West Midlands, with likely travel disruptions, longer journey times, delays, cancellations, isolated rural communities, possible power cuts, and mobile coverage impacts.
