The draw will allocate lower-ranked teams first, proceeding in band order from Band 4 to Band 1. Within each band, teams are allocated to pools in the sequence: first drawn to Pool F, second to Pool E, third to Pool D, fourth to Pool C, fifth to Pool B, and sixth to Pool A. Australia is locked into Pool A as host and will play the opening game at Optus Stadium in Perth on 1 October 2027. Remaining team balls will be placed into four bowls representing the bands for the presenters to draw.
