U.S. and Ukrainian delegations met at Shell Bay golf club near Miami to advance negotiations focused primarily on lines of territorial control. The meeting began in a wider format then narrowed to three officials per side, with territorial control virtually the only issue discussed. U.S. participants included Steve Witkoff, Marco Rubio and Jared Kushner; Ukrainian participants included Rustem Umerov, Gen. Andrii Hnatov and Vadym Skibitskyi. Umerov held a one-on-one with Witkoff and then briefed President Volodymyr Zelensky by phone. Ukrainian officials described the talks as intense but appreciative of serious U.S. engagement, and U.S. leaders called the talks positive and showing progress.
