Prince Harry made a surprise visit to Kyiv after an invitation from the Ukrainian government to support rehabilitation of thousands of military personnel seriously injured in the three-year war with Russia. He and a team from the Invictus Games Foundation outlined new initiatives to support wounded service members and aimed to extend help across the country. Ukraine estimates the war has left about 130,000 people with permanent disabilities and has placed rehabilitation through sport at the center of its veterans policy. The visit sought to humanize those affected and sustain public attention on recovery needs. Polish politician Radoslaw Sikorski urged tougher sanctions to change Vladimir Putin's calculations and deprive Russia of resources for the war.
