He personally inspected the facilities, even testing the firmness of the beds for good measure, according to KCNA. His daughter, rumored by analysts to be the heir apparent, was by his side for the grand tour."
"State media insisted the hotels were proof citizens have "nothing to envy in the world." The opening comes as Kim sought to highlight the country's economic progress ahead of a party congress next year, when a new development plan for the next five years is expected to be unveiled. According to KCNA he said the new resort was "clear proof of the ever-growing ideal of our people and our state's potential for development"."
