"We are working with our American partners to further advance the peace process,"
"We will continue to work on achieving a just and sustainable peace, as well as security guarantees for Ukraine and agreeing on the next steps."
"Ukraine needs peace that guarantees security and sovereignty,"
"We agreed to continue work at the team level during the next phase of consultations in Davos,"
Kyiv concluded a fresh two-day round of talks with US officials in Florida without announcing an agreement. Discussions on a plan to end Russia's war on Ukraine are scheduled to resume at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Rustem Umerov, Ukraine's chief negotiator, described the talks as substantive and emphasized the need for security guarantees from the United States and Europe. Participants also discussed an economic development and prosperity plan. The talks included US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The backdrop includes a contested 28-point peace proposal from the US president and a 20-point counterproposal from Ukraine and European allies.
