Connecticut scored twice via aggressive baserunning and a Jimmy Taxiltaridis grounder. Nevada expanded the lead when Ben Herbst was caught in a rundown and Garrett recorded an eighth strikeout, then added four runs in the sixth highlighted by Cutter Ricafort's two-run single. Taiwan defeated Aruba 1-0 as Liu Wei-Heng allowed four hits, struck out seven, and the lone run scored after a walk, passed ball, single and errant throw.

Grayson Miranda had a key at-bat in Nevada's three-run first. With the bases loaded, he battled through an 0-2 count, fouling off several pitches. After a wild pitch scored Nevada's first run, Grayson -- on the at-bat's 12th pitch -- drove in two more with a dribbling single into right field. Connecticut cut into the lead with its aggressive baserunning. With runners on second and third on the move, Jimmy Taxiltaridis hit a bouncer to third base.
In the international semifinal at Lamade Stadium, Liu Wei-Heng pitched 5⅓ innings to help Taiwan to a 1-0 win over Aruba. The game's only run came after Chen Shi-Hong opened the third inning with a full-count walk. He advanced on a passed ball and a single, then scored on an errant throw from third baseman Liam Peña Caraballo. Facing runners on second and third with nobody out, Aruba pitcher Jayderick Wederfoor limited the damage by escaping the jam.
