Lebanon documented 2,036 Israeli breaches of its sovereignty during October–December 2025 and filed a complaint to the United Nations requesting Security Council intervention. The complaint cites violations of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and includes three tables listing daily violations: 542 in October, 691 in November and 803 in December. Lebanon asked the Security Council to compel Israeli withdrawal beyond internationally recognized borders, to stop repeated sovereignty violations and to release Lebanese prisoners. The filing followed Israeli air strikes that killed at least two people and accompanies reports of occupied Lebanese points, destroyed border villages and dozens of detained Lebanese citizens.
