Jannik Sinner defeated Ben Shelton 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 to extend his Melbourne Park winning streak to 19 matches. Novak Djokovic remains the only player with a longer Australian Open run. Djokovic advanced after Lorenzo Musetti suffered an untimely injury while leading two sets to love. Sinner said he was fortunate to remain in the tournament after struggling with cramps in his third-round match until the roof closed and he returned reinvigorated. Sinner's strong returning and prior wins over Shelton produced a straight-sets victory. Sinner will meet Novak Djokovic in the semifinals, holding a 6-4 career lead and a five-match winning streak.
