All living hostages held by Hamas are due to be released in the first phase of a ceasefire deal in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. Hamas published a list naming 20 living hostages slated for release. The remains of up to 28 other hostages held in Gaza are not expected to be returned with the initial group.
