Israel attacked Syria more than 600 times over the past year

Most attacks concentrated in southern governorates—Quneitra, Deraa and Damascus—accounting for nearly 80 percent of recorded strikes; Quneitra was hit at least 232 times and Deraa at least 167 times. Israel cited prevention of Iranian installations and interdiction of weapons reaching extremist groups, including HTS, as justifications for the operations. Israel also expanded control in the occupied Golan Heights amid the wider collapse of the al-Assad regime.
