A 30-year-old man with a criminal record was arrested in Indore for allegedly stalking and inappropriately touching two Australian women cricketers. The incident occurred Thursday morning, a day after Australia’s six-wicket victory over England in the ICC Women's World Cup. The two players left their hotel and walked to a nearby cafe when a motorcyclist approached, followed them and allegedly attempted a bad touch about 800 meters from the hotel. Police opened a case for inappropriate behavior and stalking after team security filed a complaint and identified the accused within six hours. The BCCI called the incident deeply regrettable and isolated and said safety protocols will be reviewed and strengthened if necessary.
