Los Angeles will host the 2028 Summer Olympics from July 14 to July 30, with a historic dual-venue opening ceremony at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and SoFi Stadium. More than 10,000 athletes will compete across venues spanning Downtown LA, the San Fernando Valley, Long Beach, Malibu, and Santa Monica. Key competitions include surfing in Malibu, beach volleyball in Santa Monica, gymnastics at Crypto.com Arena, track and field at the Coliseum, and swimming at a temporary pool inside SoFi Stadium. The Paralympic Games run August 15–27. Ticketing will proceed in multiple phases through early 2026, and travel, accommodations, and transportation require advance planning.
